🌟 Dermatology is coming back to MVS full-time starting this month! 🌟

We’re thrilled to announce that Dr. Emily Binversie has joined our team.

Dr. Binversie grew up in northern Illinois and is a proud University of Wisconsin–Madison alum, where she earned her DVM, MS, and PhD. Her graduate research explored the genetics of naturally occurring canine orthopedic diseases. After completing a small animal rotating internship here in Wisconsin, she pursued a Dermatology Residency at Iowa State University, where she was honored with the John G. Evans Memorial Award for Clinical Competency and the Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center Champions of Care Award for her outstanding patient care, client communication, and clinical skills.

Dr. Binversie’s special interests include canine and feline allergies, immune-mediated diseases, recurrent skin and ear infections, advanced otoscopic procedures, and CO₂ laser surgery.

When she’s not helping pets feel comfortable in their own skin, Dr. Binversie enjoys spending time with her husband and golden retriever, attending concerts, hiking, cooking, exploring breweries, and watching movies.

We are beyond thrilled to share that Lucy, a brave

We are beyond thrilled to share that Lucy, a brave 4-year-old Australian Shepherd, has finished her CHOP chemotherapy protocol earlier this month— and she absolutely crushed it! 💪🐾

Lucy came to us earlier this year after her family noticed she wasn’t quite herself. After some testing, she was diagnosed with multicentric T-cell lymphoma, and she started her 19-week CHOP protocol on April 15th.

Throughout treatment, Lucy faced every challenge like a champ — including a few bumps in the road like low white blood cell counts and some minor side effects. Thanks to her amazing care team (and lots of love from her family), Lucy stayed strong and achieved a complete clinical remission!

She celebrated her last chemotherapy session, and we snapped some photos to mark this huge milestone. Moving forward, Lucy will continue with regular check-ups to keep her feeling her best.

Let’s give Lucy a big round of applause for her courage and strength! 👏🐶

🎉 Cooper is back in remission! 🎉 After bra

🎉 Cooper is back in remission! 🎉

After bravely completing her second round of chemotherapy, Cooper has officially kicked cancer to the curb once again.

Cooper was first diagnosed with multicentric T-cell lymphoma in May 2024 and underwent a full CHOP protocol at different hospital, completing it in October 2024. When her lymphoma relapsed this June, she started treatment right away and finished her latest chemo protocol earlier this month. We’re so happy to share that Cooper is now in complete clinical remission — and feeling great! ❤️🐾

Way to go, Cooper! Hers is definitely a story worth celebrating.

Meet Murphy and Floyd, two of our neurology patien

Meet Murphy and Floyd, two of our neurology patients living their best lives with epilepsy under the care of our MVS team. 💙

Murphy, a 9-year-old Labrador, has been visiting us since 2021. He enjoys his daily walks and has recently discovered the excitement of countersurfing — possibly thanks to his potassium bromide medication!

Floyd, a 6-year-old Corgi, has been part of our family since 2020. His favorite pastimes include racing around the yard and playing soccer. ⚽🐾

Both pups are thriving thanks to ongoing management of idiopathic epilepsy and the dedication of their families. We love seeing them continue to live full, joyful lives!

Freya came to our emergency room in August unable

Freya came to our emergency room in August unable to use her rear limbs. The neurology team and Dr. Delamaide performed an MRI and and subsequent left T13-L1-L2 hemilaminectomy to relieve the compression on her spinal cord. Last week we saw her for her two-week recheck and she’s back up and walking with a little traction assistance from her stylin’ canine-crocs. We’re so happy for her and her family! 💕🐾

We hate to turn anyone away, and while we do see walk-ins in our emergency room, we unfortunately had to let this client know that we don’t treat exotic animals at MVS at this time. Fortunately, upon quick triage they seem fine and were simply here to say ‘hi’. 🙃
